Track Name: Kids
Bang, crash, kablam, smash
You’re an evil superhero
Keeping me at zero

Zap, zoom, whack whack, K-boom
You’re a tattooed, Robert de Niro
Keeping me at zero

And if you can’t, don’t, won’t finish me off
I’ll take the knife, you take the kryptonite
If you can’t, don’t, won’t finish me off
Leave here tonight, leave me to feel alright

Oh we were just kids, we were just kids,
Oh we were just kids, we were just kids,
Ohhh, I can’t wait, to get old.

Kids, kids
You did what you did
Cos you didn’t know any better
But you should have known, when to let up

Sticks, stones
You broke every bone
You broke everything else
You broke, yourself
Track Name: Cannonball Stan
Red shiny suit,
lightening stripes,
knee high boots
He always looks dashing under the lights
You couldn’t tell
but he’s sad tonight,
Like a bat out of hell
he’s a Human Cannonball and he’ll still take flight
But he’ll be thinking...

This helmet’s OK for today, but when she breaks me

All the moustache wax in the world wont save me.

And I wont be leading the way, so where she takes me
All the moustache wax in the world wont save me,
wont save me.
Alone in his tube, arms by his side, too late to move

He thinks of his girl and the rising tide
No way out, one way to go,
 she’s gonna hurt

And all he can do is brace for the blow
And he’ll be thinking...

This helmet’s OK for today, but when she breaks me

All the moustache wax in the world wont save me.

And I wont be leading the way, so where she takes me
All the moustache wax in the world wont save me,
wont save me.
He’s all set, knows where he’ll land, heads for the net
At least some things go according to plan.
Track Name: He Wanted To Fly & He Flew
He had a way, a little way, a way with words

He wore a cape, a silver cape , and looked absurd

And in his moth, his tiger moth, bust and smashed

He never sunk, he never saw what was long since dashed

He kept on, he kept on, he kept on, and he kept on

He kept on, he kept on, he kept on, and he kept on

Oooohh - he wanted the heights he wanted the view

Oooohh - he wanted the lights he wanted the loot

Oooohh - he wanted to fly and he flew

Why cant I, why cant you

And then a maze, a crazy maze, that slowed him down

And then a dame, a crazy dame, that spun him round and round

And then a hand, a broken hand, cold and pale

And then a heart, a broken heart, old and stale

But he kept on, he kept on, he kept on, and he kept on

He kept on, he kept on, he kept on, and he kept on.

Oooohh - he wanted the heights he wanted the view

Oooohh - he wanted the lights he wanted the loot

Oooohh - he wanted to fly and he flew

Why cant I, why cant you
Track Name: Pedalo
It seems as good a day as any
To start my trek across the ocean,
With no funds for ship or sail
I’ll use my legs and my devotion.

An aqua bike will be my vessel
And high adventure the land I seek,
So farewell friends who’ve come to gather
Waving hankies, tear on cheek, oh…

It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo
It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo

My joy was surging, spirit soaring
The sky was huge, the sea was placid,
But soon my vim was somewhat dimmed
By bucketloads of lactic acid

And then a ship took me aboard
Was full of whiskey and hearty sailors,
I rested up, then pedaled onwards
Once I found out they were whalers

It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo
It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo

I saw a mermaid, thwarted pirates
Wrestled sea squids, this and more
But as I ponder that horizon
I fancy someone moved the shore, oh

Hope can come, and hope can go,
But for the most part it seems to go
But still I huff, and still I puff
On my yellow pedalo

It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo
It’s a long, long way to go on a pedalo, a pedalo.
Track Name: Jose Fernandez
Born in Santos 1920
Boy with gust and guts aplenty
Stole some rope and leapt from tall trees
Taught himself the high wire trapeze

Under that big top over that crowd
He always looked up he never looked down
He was as

Light as a sparrow
Fast as an arrow
Bright as a Star (Jose Fernandez)
If you could’ve seen him
You would’ve been him
You would have loved (Jose Fernandez)
Light as a sparrow
Fast as an arrow
Bright as a Star
The greatest, the greatest, the greatest.

How so fearless, how so dashing?
What of Terra Firma crashing ?
Tish and pish and, what about it ?
Never even thought to doubt it

Nightly he dreamt and daily as well
Flimsy his grip till one day he fell
No longer …

Light as a sparrow
Fast as an arrow
Bright as a Star (Jose Fernandez)
If you could’ve seen him
You would’ve been him
You would have loved (Jose Fernandez)
Light as a sparrow
Fast as an arrow
Bright as a Star
The greatest, the greatest, the greatest.
Track Name: Mariana
In an apron, frying bacon,
I saw her gleam like a coffee machine, and I was taken

Hiding out in the gloom of a greasy spoon
She shone through the grime like a winter moon, a winter moon

I wanna know where the rest of her goes
Ask then maybe you’ll know
I wanna see her without any clothes on
Ask and you might behold some

Of Mariana, Mariana
She served me my pies with wanton brown eyes
And if I’d have lived in the olden days
I’d have dueled at dawn
And died on a blade, on a blade

I wanna know where the rest of her goes
Ask then maybe you’ll know
I wanna see her without any clothes on
Ask and you might behold some

Time after time after time
I came and I paid and I dined,
I watched and I reeled and I pined
Till it clicked in my mind

All the while her smile was telling me
Come back tomorrow and spend all of your money …
Track Name: The New Golden Days
Cobwebs cover this old shed
Cover this tin
Inside, something long since died
Something worn thin

No joy, left in this old droid
Left in these nuts and bolds and these waning volts
Winding down to a grinding halt
I used to be a star in the olden days
Now I’m in the dark, of the new golden days

She’s hot, the Alba of robots
The spark in my heart
I’m rust, I should’ve been scrapped, crushed, sold as spare parts.

That was a bad dream, thanks to the A-Team
Now you’ll see - sparks’ll fly through the dead of night
As they buff me up to a brilliant shine
I used to be a star in the olden days,
Now I’m going large, in the new golden days

Look at me I’ve never been so shiny
Look at me I’ve never felt so ugly
Turn ‘em off, turn off all those flashing lights
I belong in black and white
There’s nothing wrong with black and white.
Track Name: Nina & Her Very Long Hair
I have a tale
But not a tail
Like Felius Domesticum

It’s of a girl
A real girl
I’m calling by her real name

And thus began
A summer camp sonnet
She saw a boy who would soon be a bee in her teenage bonnet

Nina and her very long hair
Held a torch that got her nowhere
She hit him with a thunderbolt smile
Everything she had she threw
Every dress and every shoe

Nina and her very long hair
Held a torch that got her nowhere
As hard as she tried
He never looked twice
He never did see the light
And end the plight of Nina

Sometimes a film
Comes over me
Like a cold cup of tea
And I forget, what I was set
To snag and bag, grab and seize

At seventeen
She was still reeling
She went to camp with a comb and a tent and that same old feeling

Nina and her very long hair
Held a torch that got her nowhere
As hard as she tried
He never looked twice
He never did see the light
And end the plight of Nina

And so she snipped, she cut and she clipped
Enough to thatch a cottage roof
And once she’d preened
She glowed and she gleamed
Off she set to make him swoon

She was the girl with very short hair that got her nowhere.
Track Name: Her New Disaster
She found him the same way

She finds all her new flames

Close to an old grave

I better get my shoes on

I better get my coat on

I better grab my hat cause

This is gonna be her new disaster

This is gonna take some looking after

Yeah this is gonna be her new disaster

Cause everytime I try to steer her clear

She makes a mess and ends up back here
She sunk like the last
time
And swam for the frontlines

Half dead but still trying

I better get my shoes on

I better get my coat on

I better grab my hat cause

This is gonna be her new disaster

This is gonna take some looking after

Yeah this is gonna be her new disaster

Cause everytime I try to steer her clear

She makes a mess and ends up back here

I used to advise her,
inbetween despising her

But this time I'll have no time, this time I'll have no time

This time I'll have no time -
this is her disaster not mine.

She could've kept her head on

She could've kept her dress on

She could've been long gone…
Track Name: Cosmos
We are little rocks, floating through the Cosmos

Trying not to get lost,
so la la la la la lost
How hard can it be,
 being space debris

you drift drift drift drift on, hoping to land on
your feet

Float past giant stars, Earth, Jupiter, Mars

No place to call ours,
it ba ba ba breaks our hearts
Black holes can grind us, hot suns will blind us

Drift drift drift drift on,
hoping that they won't find us

There's no place like space

There's no place like space

For wondering
which way, how come, which way, how long
There's no place like space …
Track Name: General Sherman
They sawed the wood they forged the steel,
Steel that was sober, safe and stern.

They gave me rails instead of wheels,

Wheels that could leave and not return.
I have my street I have my hill,

Hill to go up and then come down,

And that's my lot from now until a dinosaur destroys the town.

I hear that rumble,

I hear that roar.

With one last grumble,
I pine like I've pined before

I am a Tram but I long to be, a 500 cc.

So in my tiny Truman Show,

Show where the buildings block the view,

I watch the people come and go,

Going and talking like you do.

I heard of a tree, the king of the trees,

A tree that's as big as a battleship,

Now that would be a sight to see
If I could only get to it.

I hear that rumble,

I hear that roar.

With one last grumble,
I pine like I've pined before

I am a Tram but I long to be, a 500 cc.

I'll chug chug chug chug chug

Till I go out with a thud,

Till I go out with a thud.
Track Name: 1942
It was night, when the ship pulled ashore
To collect, the comrades of war

When a man, my old man's old man

Spied a dame, that lit up his heart with a bang
And that night, that night ...

That moon, shone about as bright as it could shine
Those stars, climbed about as high as they could climb

They knew, something strange was going on
When the man, who was Stan,
saw the dame by the name, of Joan

But her face, was soon lost in the crowd

Morning came, and that chance was drowned
At his post, he moped then leapt when he saw

She'd be there, to share the whole of the war
And that night, that night ...

That moon, shone about as bright as it could shine
Those stars, climbed about as high as they could climb

They knew, something strange was going on
When the man, who was Stan,
saw the dame by the name, of Joan

In a frame, on a shelf, in the lounge

They look old, black and white, buttoned down

You forget, that they lived, and they ripped, and they roared
